Dr. Scot Bradley Glasberg, a lifelong New Yorker, is a board-certified plastic surgeon recognized nationally and internationally for his leadership, innovation, and commitment to patient safety and surgical excellence.
Background
A graduate of Columbia University (cum laude) and the New York University School of Medicine (with honors), Dr. Glasberg completed his General Surgery training at the University of Connecticut, during which he took time to pursue a research fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery at NYU's Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. He went on to complete his Plastic Surgery Residency at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Glasberg is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He previously served as Director of Plastic Surgical Education at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center and as Associate Chief of Plastic Surgery at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center.
A highly active leader in organized medicine, Dr. Glasberg is a Past President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the Plastic Surgery Foundation (PSF). He has also served on the ASPS/PSF Executive Committee and Board of Directors as Vice President of Development, Vice President of Advocacy and Health Policy, and Vice President of Finance. Currently, he serves as President of Plastic Surgery Practice Solutions, the for-profit subsidiary of ASPS.
His professional leadership extends beyond plastic surgery. He has served on the Board of Governors of the American College of Surgeons and as President and Trustee Chair of multiple medical societies, including the New York County Medical Society, the New York State Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons. He currently serves as a Councilor for the Medical Society of the State of New York and has represented the American Medical Association in official capacities.
